   Biography Didier Hartong

Didier Hartong, started playing the piano at the age of six according to the Suzuki method. After 6 years of classical music he discovered hip-hop, house and acid.

When he was 12 he mixed his first tape, with the best tracks of the house scene at that time. Consequently music, mixing and producing became his life.

At the age of 16 he bought an Atari computer (equipped with Cubase) with a Yamaha CS-1x Synthesizer. One year later the renowned Akai S-2000 sampler followed. As a result his first groovy club track was born: Grooff2Grooff.

During high school he started a Drive-In Show. He played at different settings and locations. DJ-ing at high school parties to big parties like the Volvo Weekends and graduate parties. On those occasions a lot of different songs where played and he became better in understanding what the crowd wanted to hear.

In 1998 he performed live at a high school party with two friends. It was a funky, club, techno gig, the roof came off.

In the year 2000 he sent his demo to BPM Records. The owner (Randy Katana) was enthusiastic and offered him a contract. However, this meant that finishing his study in Technical Management was unfeasible. Thus, he made a well-considered decision and he accomplished his bachelors degree. Since music was still his passion, he played at several parties and participated in several dj-contests.

Right now, he is eager to perform as a DJ and is distributing demo’s, on both his mixing skills as his own tracks.
